Marina Bay, the centre of Singapore’s attempts to build its city, has grown into a major financial centre, a public space, and a playground for the entire neighbourhood. The resort’s features included the 2,561 room hotel, a 1,300,000 square-foot (120,000 square-meter) conference centre, a 74,000 square-meter (800,000 square-foot) mall called The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, double floating crystal pavilions, art-science exhibits, and the largest atrium casino in the world.
